Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to directly help frontline workers and people experiencing homelessness so they can access what they need to make it safely through the pandemic and the coldest months of the year.

This Giving Tuesday, local organizations serving people experiencing homelessness need our help. The cold winter months ahead pose an extra risk to people experiencing homelessness and the COVID-19 pandemic has only exacerbated the situation. Frontline organizations in the homeless sector are under a great deal of strain and could use your help.

Giving Tuesday is an opportunity to donate in a way that works for you, whether it’s financial, volunteering, or sharing their efforts and campaigns with your network.

Find and support your local organizations using some of the sites below:
  • CanadaHelp.ca has an ‘End Homelessness Section’ where you can provide hope for Canadians struggling with homelessness. Or, you can search for a charity based on type and location by clicking here.

  • Giving Tuesday’s site allows you to search by keyword and location to find a local charity trying to end homelessness. Click here to try it out.

  • You can help the Recovery for All campaign by becoming a supporter, signing petitions, and sending letters to the federal government in support our 6-point plan to end homelessness in Canada. Learn more here.

This Giving Tuesday let’s bring Canada closer to ending homelessness, once and for all. You can also check out our recent National Housing Day blog, which outlines three immediate actions you can take to end homelessness in Canada.
