Communications Lead

The Communications Lead is responsible for leading the development and implementation of CAEH’s communications and campaigns strategy in support of CAEH’s mission to end homelessness. You’ll lead the Communications team’s strategic initiatives across all channels and platforms, including social media, web, email, earned media and advertising. The role will encompass both CAEH’s advocacy work, annual conference and events, and our communications and knowledge mobilization work in support of our Community Impact Team.

Improvement Advisor

The Improvement Advisor (IA) is an entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader dedicated to ending homelessness in Canada. The IA works with communities to advance key milestones along the path to ending homelessness by using a structured process alongside an interest in continuous improvement and innovation. As a skilled coach and facilitator, the IA is responsible for supporting a specific caseload of communities (virtually and in-person) to advance key milestones using a data-driven approach.

Cultural Insights Advisor

The Cultural Insights Advisor will provide cultural oversight and leadership to the Homelessness Reduction Innovation Fund project, ensuring alignment with Indigenous values, priorities, and ways of being. This role will work closely with the CAEH team and Indigenous innovation  project applicants to embed culturally competent practices throughout the project. Additionally, the Advisor will guide the development of community-led, Indigenous­ specific toolkits, offering support to Indigenous communities navigating data collection and management, analytics, and the Canadian homelessness system.

Engagement Knowledge Carrier

The National Indigenous Homelessness Engagement Knowledge Carrier plays a crucial role in developing toolkits for the Indigenous Homelessness Community Entities and Community Advisory Boards to effectively integrate national approaches to responding to homelessness into their local community framework. Reporting to the Cultural Insights Advisor, this position requires a blend of technical expertise, research and development ability, and project management skills.

THE CAEH APPLICATION PROCESS

Here’s what to expect during our interview process. At any stage, feel free to ask questions about our team, organization, or the role: 

  • Initial Call (30 minutes): A short conversation with a hiring team member to discuss your alignment with our mission and the key responsibilities of the role. We’ll also cover logistics, such as work location, hours, and compensation. 
  • Second Interview (60 minutes): A deeper discussion with the hiring manager and other team members. This interview will focus on your technical skills, experience, and work style. 
  • Final Interview (60 minutes): A conversation with additional team members to explore value alignment and how you’d contribute to our organizational culture. 
  • Optional Case Study (if applicable): For some roles, we may ask finalists to complete a brief case study (no more than 2 hours of preparation). A stipend will be provided, and the activity will involve presenting your work to the hiring committee.
