Senior Administrative Assistant – Up to 3 years Contract
Reporting to the People and Operations Lead, the Sr. Administrative Assistant enhances the organizations operating system by creating highly effective practices that enable the CAEH to achieve its mission of ending homelessness in Canada while living its values. The successful candidate is an entrepreneurial, result oriented team player who provides administration and coordination support with a focus on supporting general administration, strategy and people, communications, events, fund development, contracts, and accounting.
Improvement Advisor (Contract)
Reporting to the Director of Built for Zero Canada, an Improvement Advisor (IA) is an entrepreneurial, results-oriented leader dedicated to ending homelessness in Canada. The IA works with communities to advance key milestones along the path to ending homelessness by using a structured process alongside an interest in continuous improvement and innovation. As a skilled coach and facilitator, the IA is responsible for supporting a specific caseload of communities (virtually and in-person) to advance key milestones using a data-driven approach. The IA may also have a strategic focus area for which they take the lead in supporting communities and/or the BFZ-C team. Working with a high functioning team, the IA will help design and deliver shared content for knowledge mobilization at conferences, learning sessions, community and practice calls. The IA works independently from a home office and is expected to travel regularly to meet with BFZ-C communities and attend meetings and events.
Digital Organizer
Reporting to the Communications Lead and operating within a small team of high-performing communications professionals, the Digital Organizer is responsible for building a digital-first movement of Canadians from coast-to-coast to end homelessness and the housing crisis. Their role is to lead the development and implementation of CAEH’s email advocacy program, using cutting-edge political campaigning tactics within a non-partisan context to build our movement’s political power through list building, issues campaigns and impactful communications.
The ideal candidate has significant experience and skills in digital advocacy or political campaigns, email writing, fundraising, building innovative online actions and social media. They can identify moments and tactics that will mobilize, engage and motivate supporters. The successful applicant will be passionate about driving change and ready to push the boundaries of what has been done in the Canadian advocacy landscape. .
Board of Directors
We are looking for up to four motivated and experienced individuals who have the skills, ability and vision to contribute as members of our volunteer Board of Directors.

We are currently accepting applications for several exciting opportunities on our team. Applications for the Board of Directors will be accepted until March 21, 2025, and will be reviewed collectively by the Board Nominations Committee after the deadline. The Digital Organizer position is open until May 5, 2025, with all applications reviewed following the closing date. For the Senior Administrative Assistant role, the application deadline is April 28, 2025. Here’s what to expect during our interview process. At any stage, feel free to ask questions about our team, organization, or the role:
- Initial Call (30 minutes): A short conversation with a hiring team member to discuss your alignment with our mission and the key responsibilities of the role. We’ll also cover logistics, such as work location, hours, and compensation.
- Second Interview (60 minutes): A deeper discussion with the hiring manager and other team members. This interview will focus on your technical skills, experience, and work style.
- Final Interview (60 minutes): A conversation with additional team members to explore value alignment and how you’d contribute to our organizational culture.
- Optional Case Study (if applicable): For some roles, we may ask finalists to complete a brief case study (no more than 2 hours of preparation). A stipend will be provided, and the activity will involve presenting your work to the hiring committee.
